Inspired by a late spring snow leaving mounds of white on the barely-budded grass and trees, Mallo Cotton Slub as weft gives these simple, striped towels added texture and dimension.

Pattern downloads include files for both rigid heddle and shaft loom weaving. Yardage requirements vary based upon the loom waste. Order a kit.

 

Equipment

  • Rigid heddle loom, 4-shaft, or 8-shaft loom
  • 100 heddles per shaft for 4-shaft loom or 50 heddles per shaft for 8-shaft loom
  • 10-dent reed
  • 1 boat shuttle + bobbins or 1-2 stick shuttles

Yarn

Warp:  Beam 8/2 Organic Cotton, 560-595 yds Sage, 475-500 yds Toffee, 350-370 yds Natural, 400-425 yds Dawn.

Weft: Beam 8/2 Organic Cotton, 105 yds Natural. Mallo Cotton Slub, 705 yds Natural.
