These fleecy textured pillows are woven with a combination of Ode and Array, bringing out the unique qualities of each. When the fabric is washed after weaving, the wool yarn will full (shrink slightly), highlighting the extra plush hand of the alpaca. Four shades of Array are used throughout the design to add a soft dimensional effect. 

Note: This pattern uses 605 yards of Ode, which is almost the entire cone. We recommend purchasing an additional cone if you require more yardage. Order a kit.

Equipment

  • 4-shaft loom
  • 70 heddles per shaft
  • 12-dent reed
  • 2 boat shuttles + 5 bobbins
  • 4 pieces of pre-shrunk cotton or linen fabric 16.5” W x 12” L and 2 18” x 18” pillow forms

Yarn

Warp: Ode Alpaca, 375 yds Cream; Array Wool, 80 yds Black-2, 35 yds Black-3, 35 yds Black-4, 35 yds Black-5.

Weft: Ode Alpaca, 230 yds Cream; Array Wool, 50 yds Black-2, 20 yds Black-3, 20 yds Black-4, 20 yds Black-5.
