Mixing yarn weights, fibers, and treadling sequences creates interesting textures in these warm, luscious scarves for winter. Thinner and matte Sero Silk Noil contrasts beautifully with pillowy soft Ode Alpaca, which is highlighted by the shifts between Twill and Basketweave. The interplay of colors suggests the illusion of a shadow, a subtle twist to classic windowpane and plaid designs.
Adapted from the Winter 2025 Weave Quarterly Grid & Dimension collection, this pattern includes instructions for both scarves, but the kit includes the yarn for one. You might have a hard time choosing! Weft yardages vary by scarf. Order a kit.
